Here is what is new in the suite!
A New Way to Connect: Online & Community Features
We have completely overhauled our online services so you can stay connected with other players easier than ever before.
- Built-in Community Tools: You don't have to leave the game to socialize! Just press F5 from the menus or during gameplay to see who is online, send private messages, search for other players, and chat in real time.
- You can now automatically share your high scores directly to Mastodon! You have full control over whether these posts are public or unlisted.
- Shopping is much smoother now. Stores now feature clearer names, live restock timers, and the ability to buy items in bulk.
- Stronger Connections: Your connection to the servers now runs quietly in background and will smoothly and automatically recover if your internet drops. We've also added notification sounds so you always know when you get a message or when friends come online.
Next-Level Audio & Immersion
The world of Marvel Realm sounds better and more realistic than ever.
- Lifelike Environments: Sound reflections, reverb, and muffling have been heavily upgraded. Everything from the world around you to your character's footsteps will now sound incredibly natural. Footsteps even change dynamically based on your movement, weight, health, and the surface you are walking on.
- The new speech buffer allows you to quickly review recent spoken messages during fast-paced play.
Gameplay Recording & Interface
- Built-in Recording: Capturing your best moments is easier than ever. Gameplay recording now has its own dedicated settings menu (choose between WAV or different MP3 qualities), and you can start or stop recording instantly by pressing F9.
- Typing, copying, and pasting text in the game is smooth with real cursor movement. Menus are also much better at handling complex layouts and hidden items.
- Under the Hood: We've fixed several bugs related to online store limits, gameplay recording errors, and sound output. We've also added an option for automatic, anonymous crash reporting so we can make the game better faster!
