Do the Math or Take the Plunge: Mathemash Is Here!

Mathemash is the main character in our new endless runner game, where the only thing you control is the answer. He runs through forests, over long wooden bridges, along lakes and cliff ledges, all by himself. You never steer, jump, or dodge.

Every so often he runs through a math barrier, and a problem is spoken aloud. Somewhere ahead of him waits a hazard. Work out the answer, find it among the options, and press Enter. Get it right and Mathemash handles the rest: he jumps the fire, steps aside for the logging truck, or sprints off the collapsing bridge before it goes.

The wrong options are not random, so guessing by feel is a quick way to hit the ground.

Listen for the Clock!

There is no clock to read. The hazard itself is your timer, and it gets louder the closer it gets. Crackling fire, rumbling timber, a steam train whistling down the line: every hazard has its own sound, and learning them is half the fun.

You have two chances per barrier and one life. A single wrong answer is survivable. A second one is a long way down.

The Higher You Climb, the Faster You Run

Every eight barriers you solve, the level goes up and Mathemash runs a little faster. You start gently with adding and subtracting, then times tables arrive, followed by division, two-step problems, squares, missing numbers, and percentages. It all adds up to a steady climb.

Scoring rewards both skill and nerve. Streaks multiply what each barrier is worth, and quick answers earn a bonus.

Keep an ear out for golden barriers too. There is no hazard behind them, so missing one costs nothing. Solve one and you may earn a Lucky Charm, which catches you the next time you would otherwise take the fall. Every fifth level, a very long gauntlet bridge lays hazards back to back. Reach the far bank and a hefty bonus is waiting for you.

Mathemash's world is built as you run, so no two runs take the same path, and his footsteps change with the ground beneath him.

Forest Park Mathemash is now available to Sonorous Pro members. Do not have one yet? Get your own Sonorous Pro and you are in.
