Professional Live Audio is Here: Sonocast Officially Launches Live Streaming

At Sonorous Arts, we believe that sound should be experienced, not just heard. Today, we are proud to announce the official release of Live Streaming via Sonocast. This new feature provides a robust, high-fidelity ecosystem for creators to share their audio in real-time, whether for live performances, podcasts, or immersive soundscapes.

Please Note that this is still in its early stages, and problems are expected to occur. We invite everyone to submit a feedback and let us know about their experience with livestreaming.

Flexible Streaming: RTMP and Application-Based Broadcasting

For creators who require professional-grade control via external hardware or software, Sonocast fully supports RTMP (Real-Time Messaging Protocol). This allows you to integrate Sonocast seamlessly into your existing broadcast workflow.

Our platform is optimized for high-fidelity audio, accepting bitrates up to 510KBPS using AAC (Advanced Audio Coding). You can use a wide variety of RTMP-compatible systems to broadcast directly to Sonocast, including:

  • Professional Suites: vMix, Wirecast, and Streamlabs.
  • Open-Source Tools: OBS Studio and other FFmpeg-based encoders.
  • Hardware Encoders: Dedicated RTMP standalone devices for stable, long-form broadcasting.

By configuring your preferred application to "Custom RTMP" or "FFmpeg Output," you can bypass standard platform compression and deliver crystal-clear sound directly to your audience on Sonocast.

The Broadcast Studio: A Unique Web Experience

While we support external applications, the crown jewel of our release is the Broadcast Studio. This is an entirely browser-based application that allows you to go live without installing any additional software. It uses WHIP (WebRTC) technology to ensure the lowest possible latency between you and your listeners.

Immersive 3D Audio & Effects

What makes our Broadcast Studio truly unique is its integrated Spatial Audio engine. Creators can take advantage of:

  • The 3D Panner: Use the 3D Audio Position Control to move your sound source within a spatial field, or use the Auto Orbit feature to have your audio automatically revolve around the listener.
  • Dual-Input Signal Chain: Manage two audio devices simultaneously (e.g., a professional microphone and a system audio feed). Each input features its own independent effect rack.
  • Real-Time Monitoring: Use the Monitor (Loopback) feature to hear exactly how your effects and 3D positioning sound in the final mix.
  • Master Bus Processing: Apply final-stage effects to your combined audio feed for a polished, studio-quality finish.

Membership Tiers and Access

To support creators at every level, we have introduced dedicated streaming allowances based on your Sonorous Arts subscription:

  • Sonorous Plus: Enjoy access to Sonocast live streaming platform with 1440 minutes of streaming per month.

  • Sonorous Pro: The ultimate creator package with unlimited streaming time.
