Since introducing Sonocast live streaming, we have been hard at work planning and implementing new features. Here is what is new with the service:
Don't just listen—talk!
You now have access to live chat! You can use it to talk to the streamer as well as your fellow listeners live on the air. If your stream window is in focus and you have expanded the chat feature, your screen reader will announce every incoming message. You can also distinguish between chats from the host and other listeners.
See who is online
There is now an expandable list in the stream window that shows you which users are online and listening to the stream along with you.
No account? No problem!
You can now listen to streams and read the chat without logging in. Please note that you must be logged in to send chat messages or view the listener list. You also need to be logged in to host a stream.
Microphone Permissions
We have implemented a better system to alert you regarding whether the Broadcaster Studio has the necessary microphone permissions.
Accessibility and other fixes
We have improved button labels and made the overall system more accessible.
