How to Play:
You are an elite operative tasked with infiltrating enemy territories and eliminating high-value targets. Armed with a selection of perfect weapons and tactical equipment, your mission is to navigate through hostile environments, capture strategic sites, and eliminate threats while avoiding detection.
The game takes place across multiple sites that you must capture sequentially. Each site presents unique challenges with increasing difficulty as you progress.
Mission Objectives:
Your primary objective is to reach and capture destination points marked throughout the battlefield. These represent key strategic locations that must be secured to complete your mission. As you capture more sites, the enemy presence and their overall power increases
Mission Types:
The game features several distinct mission types. You can check your current mission information in your PDA at all times:
Normal Missions:
- Your objective is to reach the destination point located somewhere on the battlefield
- The coordinates of the destination point are provided in your PDA
- Simply navigate to the specified location and capture the site
- These missions focus on movement, navigation, and avoiding or engaging enemy patrols
- These missions grant the least amount of health boost when completed
Infiltrate Missions:
- You must infiltrate a specific building and eliminate all enemies inside before reaching the destination point
- The destination point coordinates in your PDA will be located inside the target building
- First, navigate to the building using the destination coordinates as a guide
- Find the entrance to the building and clear out any additional objectives that may appear in your PDA
- Entrances are usually along the northern wall of the building. Colliding with the walls will announce which side of the building you bumped against
- Eliminate all enemy soldiers within the building (spawned by the building's security systems)
- Only after clearing all enemies can you successfully capture the enemy site inside the building
- These missions emphasize stealth, tactical combat, and thorough area clearance
- The number of enemy soldiers that you kill determine the amount of health boost you gain as a reward at the end of the mission. Additionally, if the building is the hospital, you'll get an even larger health boost
Sniper Missions:
- You must find a building and use the mounted sniper rifle on the roof to take out a certain number of enemies, before getting to the destination point
- The destination point coordinates in your PDA will be located on top of the target building
- First, navigate to the building using the destination coordinates as a guide
- Use your jetpack or any other means to get up on the building's roof. Be careful, as buildings that are chosen for sniper missions are usually much taller and a lot more slender. It's easy to fall off their rooftops
- Find the mounted sniper rifle at the center of the roof
- Use the mounted sniper rifle to take out the number of targets which is indicated in your PDA
- Only after clearing out the objectives in your PDA can you capture the enemy site near the destination point
- The amount of health boost you gain as a reward for completing these missions depends on the number of targets you have to eliminate. Additionally, if the building is the hospital, you'll get an even larger health boost
- Keep in mind that you will have no friendly troupes in this mission. Additionally, helicopters tend to swarm you more often. This isn't too bad though, as helicopters become easy targets in sniper missions
Pro tip: Helicopters tend to hang around the site they are protecting. It's best if you make sure they are down before climbing onto the building. Use your RPG launcher or another weapon of your choice to take the helicopter guards down, then attempt getting on the mounted sniper rifle.
Combat System:
The game features a realistic ballistics system where accuracy and precision are rewarded. When aiming at enemies, you'll receive audio feedback indicating their position relative to your crosshairs. The pitch of radar beeps indicates whether enemies are above or below your current aim level.
Weapon Management:
- You have three weapon slots that can hold different types of firearms
- Weapons can be found in weapon cabinets, dropped by enemies, or taken from vehicles
- Each weapon has different characteristics: damage, range, rate of fire, and magazine capacity
- Monitor your ammunition carefully - running out in combat can be fatal
Vertical Aiming:
Vertical aiming allows you to shoot objects that are above or below you. Using this technique, you will be able to take out flying helicopters from the ground, or enemy drivers from atop a higher building.
To perform a precise vertical aiming, read the following and perform step-by-step:
- Aim at a target above or below you. You will hear a periodic beep that has a distinct note. This is your radar
- Hold the vertical aiming control. You now should hear a constant note being played. This is your vertical aiming indicator
- Try to match the two notes by aiming higher/lower. Aiming higher will increase the pitch of the vertical aiming indicator, aiming lower decreases it
- Once you almost match the two notes and your line of fire lands on the target, you will hear a small, periodic beep that plays with the radar sound. This is the hit confirmation indicator. Now if you fire your weapon, your shot is guaranteed to hit the target
- If you prefer to take down your target faster, you must try hitting its upper side in general. To do this, you have to set the vertical aiming indicator slightly higher than the note of the radar beep. As long as the hit confirmation indicator is playing, you are guaranteed to hit the target should you fire your weapon. You can use the target announcement control (grave accent on keyboard, left shoulder button on the game controller). This will tell you how far up on the target your aiming in percentage. If this number is equal to or above 90%, you will land an instant-kill hit!
- Please remember that you can hear all the different indicator sounds in the learn game sounds menu, accessible in the game's main menu or the pause menu
Precision Shooting:
- Accurate shots deal more damage
- Head shots provide instant kills and higher scores
- The game tracks your shooting accuracy and precision
- Shooting the upper portion of an enemy (90% or higher) triggers a precision snipe with cinematic effects
Taking Advantage of Environment Geometry:
The map is filled with buildings and obstacles which you and your enemies can take cover behind. Once something is blocked by another object, the sounds it emits are also blocked and therefore muffled by the blocking object. This will help you understand when you can shoot at something and sometimes, where to move.
In addition to this, you'll hear a small beep when you bump against walls. This beep indicates how tall the wall is. Using your height from ground indicator control or when using the jetpack, its own height from ground indicator that automatically triggers when climbing, you will be able to fly ontop of or over walls and buildings.
Enemy Types:
Ground Vehicles (Drivers):
- Armed vehicles that patrol the area and protect key locations
- Can be eliminated by grabbing its weapon or destroying the vehicle
- If you grab the weapon of a vehicle, it will fail to control itself and eventually drives into a wall
- Some vehicles carry weapons that you can acquire if you're standing on them
- Collision with these vehicles will cause damage
- Friendly drivers will shoot down enemy vehicles and vice versa
Helicopters:
- These appear from the third mission onwards
- Aerial threats that attack from above
- More dangerous than ground vehicles but provide better rewards when destroyed
- Can land on you if shot down above where you're standing, causing significant damage
- Friendly helicopters will shoot down enemy vehicles and vice versa
- Helicopters tend to protect the site you're going to capture, unless their path is blocked by something. If this is the case, they will roam around the perimeter instead
Soldiers:
- Human enemies equipped with various firearms
- Can be stationary or actively patrol areas
- Engage in combat by firing, pursuing, and reloading their weapons
- Provide audio cues for breathing. Take advantage of this for tracking them
- in addition to being shot, Can be eliminated with headshots or by snapping their necks for instant kills (have to be really close)
- Drop their weapons and inventory upon defeat, which can be acquired by the player
Equipment and Upgrades:
PDA (Personal Digital Assistant):
- Essential tool for mission management and tracking objectives
- Provides mission briefings and status updates
- Tracks your progress and statistics
- Please note that if you're using a joystick to play the game, you can access the PDA in the pause menu
Weapons Available:
- Pistols for close-range combat
- Assault rifles for balanced engagements
- Sniper rifles for long-range precision shots
- RPGs for heavy vehicle destruction (use with caution - causes explosive damage)
Special Equipment:
- Jetpack for quick movement and tactical positioning. You can choose to move based on pitch by using vertical aiming while using the device.
- Grappling hook for precise and quick short range vehicle access (can be released on demand at anytime)
- Ripper Rig status monitoring system
Weapon Upgrades:
You can make your weapons stronger and more useful by spending Weapon Parts.
Weapon Parts (the currency):
- Weapon Parts are small upgrade pieces you collect while playing
- To gather weapon parts, you have to pick up the new weapon you find. With each new weapon you find, you have a chance to salvage one ore several weapon parts from the loot
- Picking up your own dropped weapon does not give parts
- When the Upgrades menu is open, you can see how many parts you have
- Please note that if you're using a joystick to play the game, you can access the upgrades HUD from the pause menu
Upgrade types:
- Range upgrade
- Increases how far your shots can travel
- Helps with long-range fights and improves how far your aiming radar can check with your current weapon
- Each range upgrade can be purchased once
- Damage upgrade
- Increases how much damage your weapons do
- Each damage upgrade can be purchased once
All upgrades apply to all of your weapons, not just the one you’re holding.
How upgrades stack:
- Range upgrades add up
- Each range upgrade adds to your total range bonus
- The game uses your weapon’s base range plus your total bonus
- Damage upgrades multiply together as a single bonus
- Damage upgrades add to a bonus multiplier
- Your final damage is: base weapon damage × (1 + your total damage bonus)
When you open the Upgrades menu, the game pauses. You’ll see your parts, your current total damage bonus, and your total range bonus. Purchased items are marked so you don’t buy them twice.
Jetpack:
Your jetpack gives you explosive bursts of speed to quickly move around the battlefield. It's perfect for escaping danger or reaching hard-to-get places. It doesn't mean that this is the safest tool though; You must be very careful when using the jetpack as you can run out of charge and fall down to the ground. Falling can deal quite a bit of damage, especially if you fall from a higher altitude.
How to Use:
- Must be in the air to activate (can't use while on your feet)
- Hold the control to thrust upward
- Hold the forward movement control to move forward, and the backward movement control to descend down
- Releases automatically when you collide with an object or land on something
Power Management:
- Has limited battery that drains while you use it
- Recharges automatically when not in use (takes a moment to start recharging if fully drained)
Tips:
- Great for quick escapes when enemies are closing in
- Use it to reach rooftops or elevated positions
- Can help you avoid vehicle collisions and fire bursts by boosting out of the way
- Listen to the engine sounds - they get quieter and slowly lose pitch as your battery runs low
Grappling Hook:
Your grappling hook lets you quickly zip to vehicles, giving you instant access to their weapons or a fast way to move around.
How to Use:
- Aim at a vehicle or hookable object and press C to fire
- You'll automatically pull toward whatever you grappled
- It's possible to release the grapple at anytime if needed
- Only works on certain objects (mainly vehicles) - you'll hear a "click" if there's nothing to grab
What It Does:
- Pulls you straight to the target at high speed
- If you get close enough, it automatically swings you on top of vehicles
- Stays connected even if the vehicle is moving. But if the vehicle moves fast enough to get out of the range of the rope, it disconnects
- Smart enough to avoid obstacles and place you safely
Combat Tips:
- Perfect for quickly accessing vehicles or to steal their weapons (enemy vehicles)
- Use it to escape ground combat by grappling to a nearby friendly vehicle
- Great for chasing down moving targets
- If you grapple the same target twice, you'll try to jump on top of it (must be close enough to work)
Things to Know:
- Has limited range - won't work on distant targets
- Automatically releases if you hit something solid or the target gets destroyed
- Takes control of your movement while active (you can't walk normally until you release)
- Advanced rope physics handle the swinging motion for you
Mounted Guns:
Mounted guns are fixed heavy emplacements that provide overwhelming firepower using heavy, strong, and long-ranged weapons (for example, the M2 Browning). They’re perfect for locking down lanes, cutting through vehicles, and defending objectives at range. Mounted guns can be found anywhere - on top of buildings, on some vehicles, ETC.
Mounted guns provide their own magazines. This however, doesn't mean that you will have access to an infinite number of magazines. The good thing though, is that the rigs restore themselves every 5 minutes, so use them wisely.
How to use
- Find a mounted rig (a metal base with a heavy weapon attached). These are also indicated with an appropriate audio cue. Make sure to check the learn game sounds menu
- Stand on the rig’s platform. You must be on the platform to take control.
- Move toward the center of the rig. If you’re off-center, the game will tell you where to move based on your current heading
- When you’re on the platform and close enough to the center, interact to mount it
- While mounted:
- Aim with your camera just like your normal weapon
- Fireing takes up ammunition provided by the magazines of the rig itself, not your own inventory.
- Reloading takes up magazines that are provided by the rig itself, not your own inventory.
- Your own weapon is temporarily set aside while you use the gun
- To get off the gun, interact again. Your original weapon is restored.
Why use mounted guns
- High damage and sustained fire for crowd control and suppression
- Excellent range and accuracy for long-distance targets
- Brutal against vehicles and exposed enemies
Trade-offs
- You’re fixed to a position while operating the gun
- Requires centering on the rig before you can take control
Tips
- Clear nearby threats before mounting to avoid being flanked
- Use the gun to break vehicle pushes or thin large groups quickly
- Listen for the directional guidance when trying to mount – it saves time
- When you’re done, dismount and reposition rather than staying exposed
Stealth and Tactics:
While the game can be played as a direct assault, stealth approaches are often more effective:
- Take advantage of vertical positioning with your jetpack
- Monitor enemy patrol patterns and positioning before engaging
- Update your weapon range to shoot enemies from distances in which they can't shoot you back
Health and Survival:
- Your health depletes when taking damage from enemy fire, vehicle collisions, falling from greater heights, ETC
- Your health always regenerates periodically up to the half of your maximum health
- Health status can be checked at any time
- There are no health pickups - damage is permanent until either you complete a mission and are rewarded with a health injection, or your health is below half the maximum health, in which case your health will regenerate up to that point
- Careful positioning and tactical movement are essential for survival
Scoring System:
Your performance is evaluated based on multiple factors:
- Sites captured (reaching the destination point with a full health awards extra score points)
- Enemies eliminated
- Shooting accuracy and precision
- Mission completion
- Mission completion time
The game encourages both tactical gameplay and aggressive action, rewarding players who can balance stealth with effective combat when necessary.
Audio Cues:
The game relies heavily on 3D positional audio to convey information:
- Enemy positions through radar beeps
- Vehicle approach sounds, foot steps and breathing sounds for human NPCs, ETC
- Weapon fire and reload audio
- Environmental audio for navigation
- Mission instructor communications via radio
Mission Communication:
A female mission instructor provides guidance and updates throughout your missions via radio communication. She will:
- Brief you on mission start
- Provide warnings about dangerous equipment (like RPGs)
- Confirm successful objective completion
- Offer tactical advice and encouragement
Tips and Strategies:
- Learn to use the radar system effectively - the pitch of beeps indicates enemy height relative to your position
- Conserve ammunition by making accurate shots rather than spraying bullets
- Use the jetpack for tactical positioning and to avoid vehicle collisions
- The RPG is powerful but dangerous - be aware of splash damage
- Monitor your weapon status regularly to avoid running out of ammunition in combat
- Use the PDA frequently to track mission progress and objectives
- Practice precision aiming to achieve head shots for maximum effectiveness
- Enemy weapons can provide firepower advantages when your weapons are out of ammunition and weapon parts for upgrades - look for opportunities to acquire them
